Yes. There are no ads, subscriptions or accounts. The books are in the public domain in the United States and are recorded and given away by LibriVox volunteers.
Yes. Download a book from its page and it plays without a connection. Manage downloads in Settings.
Audio streams from the Internet Archive, which is occasionally slow or unavailable. Check your connection and try again in a few minutes, or choose another recording of the same book from its page. If one book keeps failing, email us its title.
Listening works in CarPlay, and you can ask Siri to "Continue listening in Listening" or "Play Pride and Prejudice in Listening".
